Uniform Challenge -New for 2010

Calling all uniformed personnel: Do you work in law enforcement, corrections, the military, fire and rescue, or other uniformed service. We invite all those in uniformed service to form a 3-person team to compete in the Twin Lakes Triathlon's Uniform Challenge. In addition to bragging rights, the winning team will receive a trophy. To qualify you must sign up as a team and you MUST start your team name with "UC" so that we will know that you are registering for the Uniform Challenge ('UC Iowa State Patrol', 'UC Webster Co Sheriff', etc). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the race director.

Two New Records in 2009.

In 2009, Kristin Rinderknecht set a new female course record 1:14:08 (was 1:15:06) and Reed Rinderknecht set a new male course record 1:03:53 (was 1:07:46).  They each received a gift certificate for a new pair of athletic shoes from Brown's Shoe Fit Co. (in Fort Dodge).
"I knew when James Hart (Head Referee) announced the water temp of 76 deg., that this was going to be record setting day," said Chris Carr (Race Director).  "The unseasonably cool air and water temps will make these times hard to beat."
