PIONEERS
This marker was erected in memory of the early pioneer settlers of New Ulm and surrounding area. Many of these pioneer settlers are buried in this pioneer section of tract A of the New Ulm City Cemetery. Their names inscribed on the reverse side of this marker are preceded by a number which corresponds with the same number as their indicated burial place.

This marker was erected by the Junior Pioneers of New Ulm and Vicinity in conjunction with the 130th Anniversary of the Dakota Indian/Pioneer Settler Conflict.
