Amelia B. (Sellner) Schroepfer Heitzer, 96 ,of Sleepy Eye, died on Monday, May 26, 2003, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.

Service is 10 a.m., Saturday, May 31, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Brian W. Oestreich officiating. Burial will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery

Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Friday, at Sturm Funeral Home and 7:30-9 a.m., Saturday. There will be a parish prayer service at 4 p.m. and a Christian Mothers/Catholic Aid rosary at 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Amelia Sellner was born Feb. 6, 1907, to Christ and Mariana (Schloegl) Sellner in Albin Township. On Feb. 1, 1927, she married Felix Schroepfer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Felix preceded her in death July 9, 1941. Amelia married Anton Heitzer on Sept. 9, 1946, and the couple made their home in Sleepy Eye. Amelia worked at A. J. Pietrus for 50 years in Sleepy Eye. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Sleepy Eye, Catholic Aid Association, and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include two sons: Ollie Schroepfer and his wife Dorothy, New Ulm, and Dutch Schroepfer and his wife Bev of Sleepy Eye; brothers, Leonard Sellner of Sleepy Eye and Clement Sellner and his wife Dorothy of Sleepy Eye; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; four sisters, Clara Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, Kate Johnson and her husband Harold of Madelia, Angie Weber of Gibbon and Ann Hacker of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Felix Schroepfer and Anton Heitzer; five brothers, William, Albert, Christ, Edmund, and Florian Sellner; and four sisters, Mary Moldan, Mathilda Blumhoefner, Martha Weber, and Bertha Muehlbauer.
