Curt Braulick, 23, of New Ulm died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester from injuries he received in a motocross accident.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in rural Searles.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. on Monday and from 7:30-10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
Curt is survived by his future fianc?e, Claire Portner of Mankato; his dad, Dennis "Skinner" Braulick of rural New Ulm and his friend, LeAnna Windschitl of New Ulm; by his mom, Dianne Braulick of New Ulm and her friend, Gene Brand of Hanska; his grandparents, Adeline Braulick of Sleepy Eye and Bob and Electa Griebel of rural New Ulm; a sister, Carrie A. Braulick and her boyfriend, Scott Sheely, both of Lafayette; a brother, Dale Braulick and his wife, Carrie J. of Good Thunder, by his niece, Victoria Thomas-Haack of Good Thunder, and by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edwin Braulick.
Curtis Edwin Braulick was born on March 26, 1982 in New Ulm to Dennis and Dianne (Griebel) Braulick. He graduated in 2000 from New Ulm High School. After high school he worked for Tires Plus in New Ulm for two years before attending Northwest Technical College in Moorhead. In December of 2003, he came back to New Ulm and attended South Central Technical College in North Mankato, graduating with a degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). After graduation, he continued to work for Schwickerts and at Wholesale Tire in Mankato. He was currently attending Minnesota State University in Mankato.
Curt loved riding motocross, cars, snowmobiling, cats, listening to rock music, playing his guitar, and playing cards with his grandparents. He liked the outdoors, spending time with his friends, and trying new recipes with Claire.
Curt was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles and the St. John's Catholic Aid Society.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the donor's choice.
Curt will be sadly missed as a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. We will miss him for his great smile, wonderful sense of humor, and fun-loving attitude. Curt touched everyone he knew with his love and generosity. Curt lived life to its fullest in the short time he had. We will always love you and always miss you Curt.
