Florence M. Drexler, age 93, of Springfield, MN died on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN.

Visitation will be Sunday, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, MN. There will be a Parish Prayer Sevice on Sunday evening at 5:30 PM at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield and a CCW Rosary on Monday at 9:30 AM at St. Rapael's Catholic Church in Springfield, MN. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Raphael's Catholic Church on Monday, March 10, 2003 at 10:00 AM with Father Dennis Labat officiating. Interment will be in St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery in Springfield, MN.

Florence was born April 17, 1909 in Sundown Township in Redwood County to John and Amelia (Rothmeier) Groebner. She attended country school and helped her parents on the farm. On September 19, 1933 she married Valerius Drexler at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Clements, MN. Florence participated in St. Joan and St. Raphael Mission Groups, was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, a member of the 500 Marathon Club, Sheep Head Club and Senior Citizens Club. She was the Senior Citizens Club Secretary for 2 years, worked with Home Aid for 19 years as a Senior Citizen Driver, cared for the Sanctuary for 9 years, belonged to the Lady Foresters, St. Boniface Society, and was a member of the CCW. She enjoyed making quilts,playing cards, gardening, and playing Bingo.

She is survived by her 2 daughters - Rose and husband Steven Hendley of Cleveland, MN and Mary Ann Harter of Port St. Louis, FL; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother - Anthony and wife Teresa Groebner of Clements, MN; 3 sisters -Adeline and husband Adolph Nelson of Clements, MN, Eldora and husband Robert Kraemer of St. Paul, MN, and Irene Culhane of Minneapolis, MN; and a sister- in-law - Arlene Groebner of Springfield, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Valerius (Larry) Drexler; a daughter - Carol Germaine Drexler; a great grandson; 2 brothers - Henry Groebner and Leo and wife Eleanor Groebner; 2 sisters - Veroncia and husband John Gostonczik, and Lucy and husband George Mesinger; and a brother-in-law - Joseph Culhane.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
