Ann (Mertz) Flor

Mrs. Lorenz Flor, 77, lifelong resident of Brown county and who had lived in New Ulm for many years, died suddenly at her home, 524 North Washington street, early today. Dr. G.E. Reinke, coroner, was called and said deaht was from natural causes. She had suffered with dropsy and it is supposed she died of a heart attack. She was up and around the home yesterday.

Funeral services will be Monday at 9:30 am, at Holy Trinity Catholic church. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. The body will be at the home Sunday afternoon and evening. Prayer hour will be at 7:30 pm, Sunday. Mrs. Flor was a member of the St. Elizabeth Society and the christian Mothers society of the Holdy Trinity church.

Anne Mertz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mertz, was born in Prairieville township, March 4, 1872. She grew to womanhood in that township and was married to Lorenz Flor, Sept. 30, 1914. They made their home in New Ulm. Mr. Flor died some 18 or 20 years ago. There were no children.

Mrs. Flor is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Anton, New Ulm; John, Leavenworth; Nicholas, Prairieville; Henry Western, Wash.; Mrs. Mary Hacker, Kensal, N.D.: Mrs. Frank Marks, Sleepy Eye and Mrs. Barbara Palta, who made her home with Mrs. Flor.
