Edwin "Sam" Hillesheim of Forest Lake passed away on Monday morning. His death was due to injuries suffered in a fall the previous Wednesday.
He was born in Sleepy Eye on October 1, 1916 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Hillesheim. He is survived by Leah Hillesheim, and children, Michael, Timothy and Mrs. Margaret Cromwell of Forest Lake and Kathryn of California; 4 grandchildren; 4 brothers and 4 sisters, Hubert, Henry and Nick of Sleepy Eye; and Herman of Cary, Illinois; Kathryn Rubey of New Ulm; Rose Prokosch, Comfrey; Margaret Busch, Jordan; and Verna Rein of Shakopee.
He was a World War II veteran and a member of Plumbers Local No. 15.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 on Thursday evening and on Friday from 10:30 to 11 at Mattson Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic church. Burial will be in Calvery Cemetery, Forest Lake.
