Art Peter Hillesheim, 72, of Leavenworth Township, Brown County, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1986, at his rural farm home.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Japanese Martyrs, Leavenworth Township, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Thursday at O'Hare-Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia; sons, Eugene of New Ulm and Clement of rural Springfield; a daughter, Gladys (Mrs. Leon) Scherer of Sleepy Eye; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Raymond J. of Leavenworth Township.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1913, in Albin Township, Brown County, to Florian and Clara (Sellner) Hillesheim. He married Lydia Nachreiner on Sept. 9, 1936, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield. He resided and farmed his entire lifetime in the Leavenworth Township area. He was a member of the Church of Japanese Martyrs.
