Amelia Hillesheim, 91, of Springfield died Sunday morning at St. John's Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, with burial in church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today and continuing until 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a Catholic Order of Foresters rosary at 4:30 p.m. today and a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. There will be a St. Anne's Altar Society rosary at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jerome (Mary Jane) Lake of Tappan, N.Y.; a son, Arnold Hillesheim of Springfield; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966; sons, Christopher E. and Cletus J.; and infant daughter; brothers, Richard, Frank, and John; and a sister Agnes.
She was born Jan. 10, 1893, at Easton to Joseph and Mary (Schultz) Evan. She married Christ A. Hillesheim on July 20, 1920, in Wells. She lived in the Easton-Wells area for 25 years before moving to Springfield and gad been a resident at St. John's Lutheran Home for the past two years. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church, St. Anne's Altar Society and St. Monica's Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
