Charles Kuebler, 58, of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Sleepy Eye Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a Knights of Columbus rosary at 5 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife Margaret "Maggie"; daughters, Laura and husband Ron Horman of Clements and Lisa and husband Denis Berdan of New Ulm; sons, Brian and wife Lisa of Lake Crystal and Dan and fiancee Amanda Braun of Lake Crystal; five grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice and husband Milton Witt of W. St. Paul, Janet and husband Gilbert Hillesheim of New Ulm and Kathy and husband Frank Vogel of Sanborn; brothers, George and wife Esther of Arlington, John and wife Delores of St. James and Glen of Sleepy Eye; aunt Anna Weicherding; and uncle Max Hoffmann.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Doris Sellner.
He was born Aug. 15, 1941, in rural Springfield to George and Mathilda (Hoffmann) Kuebler. He attended country school and Sleepy Eye Public School. He married Margaret "Maggie" Schreiner on April 8, 1967, in Sleepy Eye. He worked at the Westside Garage, Brown County Co-op and the City Of Sleepy Eye, where he was in the water department. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the New Ulm Area Sport Fishermen, the N.R.A., and was a past member of the Sleepy Eye Fire Department.
