Joseph Lang, 94 of Comfrey, died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Mountain Lake. He had been ill the past seven months.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Comfrey, with burial in church cemetery.
Visitation will start 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hoyt Funeral Home, Comfrey, and continue until time of services. Parish prayer hour will be 8 p.m. Wednesday and St. Paul's Society at 8:30 p.m.
He is survived by daughter, Mrs. Victor (Florence) Wannarka of Comfrey and son, Norbert J. Lang of Comfrey, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Lang was born June 2, 1878, in Burnstown township, Brown County, to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lang. He attended rural school in Burnstown Township. He was married to Mary Rubey Nov. 15, 1910 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield. She died Sept. 22, 1962.
He had been treasurer of Bradshaw Township, director of Comfrey Farmer's Elevator, and director of Comfrey Farmer's Shipping Association. They farmed in Bradshaw Township until 1947 and lived in Comfrey from 1947 until 1968 when he went to live with son and daughter. He entered Lake Crystal Nursing Home Jan. 21, 1972, and in June moved to the Good Samaritan Home.
He was a member of St. Paul's church and St. Paul's Society.
