Funeral
services for Daniel Ray Hansen, 49, of Aurelia, will be 10:30 A.M.
Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in
Aurelia, with Pastor Harold Werley officiating. Burial will be in the
Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00
P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00, at the
Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.
Daniel died Tuesday, January 30,
2007, at his home in Aurelia.
Daniel Ray Hansen was born October 5, 1957,
the son of Martin and Donna (Waugh) Hansen in Sioux City, IA. He
attended school in Correctionville. On August 7, 2003, Daniel married
Michelle Crew in Cherokee. Daniel worked as a carpenter for Smith
Construction of Royal, IA. He enjoyed his children, building houses, and
camping and fishing.
Preceding Daniel in death was
his father, Martin Hansen on July 4, 1978.
Survivors include his wife
Michelle Hansen of Aurelia, six children; Brandi Hansen and her special
friend Jerry Skjerven and daughter Tristin of Plumber, MN, Bridget
Hansen Sund and her special friend Nick Ludwig and daughter Madyson of
Cherokee, and Tyler, Kyle, Ryan, and Danae Hansen all of Aurelia. Also
surviving are his mother, Donna Hansen and special friend Charlie Paul
of Tonopah, NV, and his siblings, Sally and husband Steve Schwartz of
New Mexico, Jack and wife Peggy Hansen of Decorah, IA, Donny and wife
Karen Hansen of Anthon, IA, Marcia and husband Dick Tomlinson of Fort
Dodge, IA, and Wendy and husband Aaron King of Aurora, CO, nieces and
nephews, and other relatives and friends.
