EUNICE M. ANDERSEN
Funeral services for Eunice M. Andersen, 96,
of Aurelia, will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, November 13, 2006, at the United
Methodist Church in Alta, with Pastor Terry Pollard officiating. Burial
will be in the Elk Township Cemetery north of Alta. Visitation will be
Sunday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with the family present from 6:00 to
8:00, at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.
Eunice died Saturday, November 11, 2006, at
the Sunset Knoll Care and Rehab Center in Aurelia, where she had been a
resident since September 2000.
Eunice Margaret Adolphson was born April 22,
1910, in Elk Township north of Alta, the daughter of Oscar T. and
Matilda (Vanderhoff) Adolphson. Eunice attended country school at Elk
Center School until third grade, then in Alta where she graduated in
1928. On February 24, 1939 Eunice married Marvin Miller Andersen at the
Methodist Parsonage in Alta. Eunice was a farm wife, living on various
farms in Elk Township for 34 years. They retired in 1972 and moved to
Storm Lake. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, a
member of the United Methodist Women, the Country Ramblers, and
Neighborhood Club. Eunice enjoyed doing needlework.
Preceding Eunice in death were her parents,
her husband Marvin on May 8, 2002, and her brother Floyd and his wife
Fern Adolphson.
Survivors include three nephews, Richard,
Steven, and Kenneth Adolphson, and numerous other relatives and friends.
