Graveside services for Frances Spitler
Daly, 93, of La Mesa, California, will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 27,
2008, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia. There will be no
visitation. The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is in charge of
arrangements.
Frances Phyllis Person was born September
23, 1914, in Aurelia, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Marsh)
Person. Frances graduated from Wilson High School in Cherokee in 1932.
She then attended the Four C’s Business College in Des Moines,
graduating in 1934. She married Francis John (Frank) Spitler. They moved
to California in 1951. Frank died in 1966. She later married Joseph
Daly, who died in 1974. Frances enjoyed family activities.
Frances died Friday, June 20, 2008 at the
Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa.
Preceding Frances in death were her parents,
two husbands, one daughter, Jane Laird, one son-in-law, Galen Boone, and
one sister, Marjory Fiers.
Survivors include two
daughters, Sheryl Boone of La Mesa, CA, and Nancy and her husband Tom
Eddy of San Diego, CA, one stepson, Jack and his wife Holly Spitler of
Rock Rapids, IA, one son-in-law, Roy Laird of Kingman, AZ, 7
grandchildren and 3 great-grand children.
