HILDA KOTH
Funeral
services for Hilda Koth, 94, of Aurelia, will be Friday, December 16,
2005 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia with
Pastor Larry Lemke officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill
Cemetery in Aurelia. The family will be present for visitation
on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00, at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.
Hilda
Emma Peckenschneider was born January 24, 1911 at Aurelia, the
daughter of Herman and Louise (Mohn) Peckenschneider. She attended
school at Diamond Center south of Aurelia. On February 5, 1931, Hilda
married Lorenz Koth at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia, IA.
Hilda enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She was a
member of the St Paul Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Birthday Club, Pitch
Club, and the Farm Bureau.
Hilda died Monday, December 12, 2005, at the
Sunset Knoll Retirement Home in Aurelia where she had been a resident
since October of 2000.
Preceding Hilda in death were her parents,
her husband Lorenz on July 14, 1991, nine brothers and sisters; Hugo,
Lester, Bart, Harry, Walter, Edna Bumann, Lillie Bumann, Wilhelmine
Nelson, and Alma Oatman.
Survivors include her son, Merlin Koth of
Warner Robins, GA, her daughter, Karen and her husband Jerold Van Hooser
of Ocala, FL, five grandchildren, Andrew Koth of Athens, GA, Regina and
her husband Barry King of Byron, GA, DeShon Koth of Macon, GA, Scott Van
Hooser and Renae Van Hooser both of Rochester, MN, two great
grandchildren, Mercedes Phelps and Tyler Atkinson, one sister-in-law,
Hattie Peckenschneider of Cherokee, numerous nieces and nephews, and
other relatives and friends.
