Memorial
services for Howard F. Clark, 78, of Storm Lake, will be 2:30 P.M.
Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia, with
Pastor Woody Clauson officiating. The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is
in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
Howard died
Thursday, July 22, 2004, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in
Storm Lake.
Howard Francis
Clark was born December 26, 1925, the son of Henry and Ada (Bowker)
Clark near Cherokee, Iowa. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic
School in Cherokee. He served in the Army during WWII, and was
honorably discharged. Howard married Lenore Kohns, to this union three
children were born. Lenore died March 31, 1965. On March 9, 1968,
Howard was united in marriage to Lucy Graham at the Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. To this union two children were
born. Howard worked as a truck driver for 22 years for Peters Trucking
in Storm Lake. He then worked part-time for the Pilot-Tribune in Storm
Lake, retiring in April, 2004. He enjoyed fishing and watching
baseball, particularly the Kansas City Royals.
Preceding
Howard in death were his parents, his first wife, Lenore (Kohns) Clark,
and one sister, Delores Clark.
Survivors
include his wife Lucy of Storm Lake, five children, Francis and his wife
Delores Clark of Sioux Rapids, Rose and her husband Mike Karhoff of
Pocahontas, Terry Clark of Lakeside, David Clark of Sioux City, and Paul
Clark of Sioux Center. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, twelve
great-grandchildren, two brothers, Donald and his wife Mary Clark of
Council Bluffs, and Charles and his wife Elise Clark of Springfield, VA,
and one sister, Alice and her husband Jim Schissel of Cherokee, several
nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
