LARRY STEEMKE
Memorial services for Larry D.
Steemke, 61, of Aurelia, will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the
First United Methodist Church in Aurelia, with Pastor Harold Werley
officiating. There will be no visitation. The Redig Funeral Home in
Aurelia is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials will
be given to the Aurelia Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
Larry David Steemke was born July 25, 1945,
the son of Loren and Arline (Minard) Steemke in Cherokee, IA. He
graduated from Willow High School in Quimby in 1963 and from UCLA in
1968. Larry served in the Army in Vietnam. On July 15, 1977, Larry
married Susan Cramer in Torrance, CA. Larry worked as a CPA in Palos
Verdes, CA, and farmed in Aurelia.
Larry died Friday, June 1, 2007, after
suffering a stroke at his Aurelia farm the previous Monday night.
Preceding Larry in death was his
brother, Ronnie Steemke 1953.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Susan, children David
Steemke of Grand Forks, ND, and Kelly Wallace of San Diego, CA, and
stepson Kevin Smith of Valley Springs, CA. He will also be missed by
his loving parents, Loren and Arline Steemke and brother Don and his
wife Lisa Steemke all of Aurelia, and other relatives and friends.
