Memorial services for Marcy Bell
Brugman, 75, of Aurelia, will be Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 10:30
A.M. at the First Congregational Church in Aurelia, with Pastor Bruce
Rapp officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.
Marcalyn Mary Bell was born August
16, 1935, in Linn Grove, Iowa to Grover and Ethel (Wathen) Bell. She
graduated from the Aurelia High School in 1953. On November 23, 1958,
Marcy married Karl John Brugman, Jr. at the Congregational Church in
Aurelia. Marcy was a life-long member of the Congregational Church where
for many years she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and served
as a Deacon. She worked at K-Mart in Cherokee for several years. She
loved to cook and bake, and was an Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Marcy died Tuesday, December 7,
2010, at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, IA.
Preceding Marcy in death were her
parents, and her husband Karl on March 3, 2001, and one brother, Alvin
Bell.
Survivors include her son Kevin
Brugman of Aurelia, one brother, Gilbert Bell of Des Moines, two
sisters, Betty Ahrenholtz of Loveland, CO, and Mertie and her husband
Jack Williams of Kiron, IA, and other relatives and friends.
