MERLE H. BRUNE
Funeral services for Merle Brune, 84, of
Aurelia will be Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the First
United Methodist Church in Aurelia, with Pastor Harold Werley.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Redig
Funeral Home in Aurelia. Burial will be in the Correctionville
Cemetery, Correctionville, Iowa.
Merle Henry Brune was born January 7, 1923,
the son of Elmer and Elsie Emma (Todd) Brune in Correctionville, Iowa.
He attended country schools in the Correctionville area. In 1940 the
family moved to Diamond Township where Merle farmed, and enjoyed raising
cattle and hogs. He moved into Aurelia in January of 1989.
Merle died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at
the Sunset Knoll Care and Rehab Center in Aurelia where he had been a
resident since February 2, 2002.
Preceding Merle in death were
his parents, and his sister, Fern Brune on May 20, 1996.
Survivors include one brother, Elmer Brune
Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO, and friends.
