Funeral services for Myra B. Glawe, 69, of
Cherokee, will be Saturday, August 9, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. at the
Congregational Church in Aurelia, with Pastor Bruce Rapp officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Rushmore, MN. Visitation will be
Friday from 2:00 until 8:00, with the family being present from 6:00 to
8:00, at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.
Myra Belle Blumentritt was born August 6,
1938, the daughter of Harold and Leola (Garner) Blumentritt in La Cross,
WI. She graduated from high school. She worked at Wilson Foods in
Cherokee. She enjoyed having coffee with friends and spending time
with family and grandchildren.
Myra died Monday, August 4, 2008 at the
Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, IA.
Preceding Myra in death were her
parents and an infant sister.
Survivors include her children, Debbie and
her husband Mike Nelson of Sioux Falls, Bonnie and her husband Jon
TeBrake of Carroll, Rollin and his wife Leah Glawe of Remsen, and Ron
and his wife Lori Glawe of Worthington, seven grandchildren and five
great-grand children. Also surviving are two brothers, David and his
wife Lori Blumentritt, and Byron and his wife Julie Blumentritt all of
AZ, and other relatives and friends.
