Funeral
services for Roger F. Glawe, 78, of Aurelia, will be Monday, October 1,
2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Congregational Church in Aurelia with
Pastor Bruce Rapp officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill
Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Grashoff-McManus
American Legion Post #390 of Aurelia.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., with the
family will be present from 2:00 to 4:00, at the Redig Funeral Home in
Aurelia.
Roger
Floyd Glawe was born May 18, 1929 near Aurelia, the son of Floyd
and Pearl Viola (Waddell) Glawe. He graduated from the Aurelia High
School in 1947, and then served in the U. S. Army. Roger returned to
Aurelia where he farmed until he retired. He enjoyed sports and his
family.
Roger died Friday, September 28, 2007, at
the Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, IA.
Preceding Roger in death were his parents.
Survivors include his children, Debbie and
her husband Mike Nelson of Sioux Falls, Curtis and his wife Lorri Glawe
of Aurelia, Bonnie and her husband Jon TeBrake of Carroll, Rollin and
his wife Leah Glawe of Remsen, and Ron and his wife Lori Glawe of
Worthington, MN, eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one
sister, Barbara and her husband Russell Lennon of Sugarland, TX, and
other relatives and friends.
