VIRGINIA RILEY CROCKER
Memorial
services for Virginia R. Crocker, 93, of Storm Lake, will be held at
7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 23, 2007 at the Lakeside Presbyterian
Church Fireside Room with Rev. Duane Queen officiating. There will be
visitation one hour prior to the service. The Redig Funeral Home in
Aurelia is in charge of arrangements.
Virginia
Lee Riley was born December 5, 1913, in Snow Hill, Maryland, the
daughter of Dr. John Lee and Beulah (Vincent) Riley. She was a
schoolteacher. On September 18, 1942 Virginia married Edwin Crocker in
Rochester, Minnesota. They moved to Storm Lake in 1947. She was a member
of the Lakeside Presbyterian Church.
Virginia liked all things natural, the
outdoors, bird watching, and conservation. She also enjoyed playing the
piano, poetry, literature and caring for her Scottie dogs and cats.
Virginia died Sunday, November 11, 2007, at
the Buena Vista Manor in Storm Lake, where she had been a resident since
October 1, 2001.
Preceding Virginia in death were her parents
and her husband Ed on December 27, 1987.
Neighbors and caregivers were Joann Samsel,
Nancy Gordon and Jan Redenbaugh.
Virginia is survived by a host of friends.
